Accuracy and consistency

Tested with a clean version of Chromium, throtteld at 30Mbps (30720 kbps) the following measurements are done.

Test Server: an unknown Google datacentre

  1. 20..50Mbps (1 second)
  2. 20..50Mbps (1 second)
  3. 20..50Mbps (1 second)
  4. 20..50Mbps (1 second)
  5. 20..50Mbps (1 second)

The speed test is pretty constant with a speed indication of 20..50Mbps. The average and standard deviation for the time required are respectively 1 second and 0 seconds.

Tested with a clean version of Firefox, throtteld at 30Mbps (Wi-Fi) something strange happens. Initial the downloadspeed measuered is 20..50Mbps (1 second). Retests give the unrealistic downloadspeed >100,000Mbps.

It is clear that Internet Speed at a Glance doesn't work fine with a throtteld Firefox browser.
