Comparitech

Comparitech's speed test is a speed test which automatically detects your IP address and your internet service provider. Besides that it automatically selects a test server.

This speed test starts with connecting, a download test, followed by an upload test. When the download test is finished, the ping time besides the download speed is shown.

When the test is finished the download speed varies often a little from the earlier given download speed. For this test the first download speed given will be used.

Accuracy and consistency

Tested with a clean version of Google Chrome, the following measurements are done.

Test Server: Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2)

  1. 55.25Mbps (21 seconds)
  2. 54.67Mbps (21 seconds)
  3. 55.24Mbps (21 seconds)
  4. 54.64Mbps (20 seconds)
  5. 55.41Mbps (21 seconds)

Tested with a clean version of Firefox, the following measurements are done.

Test Server: Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2)

  1. 55.31Mbps (21 seconds)
  2. 54.45Mbps (21 seconds)
  3. 55.28Mbps (21 seconds)
