Ugly but impressing
The interface of the SpeedOf.Me API Sample Page is ugly but the results are impressing.
When you're only interested in the download speed, it is best to have only the option Show Progress and Verbose Progress checked.
If you prefer speed above accuracy then move the slider to Faster Test. For more accuracy mover the slider to More Accurate Test.
Faster Test is recommended because the meaurements do not differ that much.
Fast versus accurate is 110.92 Mbps versus 111.53 Mbps where 112 Mbps (the true internet speed) was expected.
However, the difference in time is many times greater. 4 seconds for the quick test versus 22 seconds for the accurate test.
Isn't it amazing? Accurate results in only 4 seconds! This API is probably the best base for an excellent speed test!
