Strengths of Ookla's Speedtest
The Ookla Speedtest is a well known speed test. A lot of ISPs recommend the use of Speedtest. Hence, we categorize Speedtest as the gold standard for speed tests.

The Xfinity speed test is a fairly accurate speed test, but the variance can be quite large. Therefore, multiple tests are recommended when using Xfinity.
Ultimately, the speed test provides a clear and understandable interpretation of the results.

Based on what we know about speed tests, if we had to choose between these two speed tests, we would choose Xfinity Speed Test over Ookla's Speedtest. The deciding factor is the speed of Xfinity Speed Test.
