We compared Think Broadband (standalone) ★★★★☆ with MySpeedMeter ★★★★☆ and prefer Think Broadband (standalone) over MySpeedMeter.
Both speed tests are fine to test your internet speed over IPv6. However, with Think Broadband it is easier to start a speed test.
The radar chart above is based on the results of our standardized speed test test. The results speak for themselves.
Strengths of the -standalone- Think Broadband Speed Test
The standalone version of the Think Broadband Speed Test has as default the option to test over IPv6. However, with one click you also might start a speed test over IPv4.
The IPv4 version of this speed test is very accurate. This provides confidence in the reliability of test results when speed is measured based on IPv6.
Strengths of MySpeedMeter
The MySpeedMeter is an Ookla clone. We've tested the Ookla Speedtest extensively and know it's an accurate speed test. Again, this provides confidence that the IPv6 test results are accurate.
The speed test is performed on a server from the Ookla test network. You can choose from a limited number of servers and then indicate whether you want to test via IPv4 or IPv6.
Our recommendation
Both speed tests are accurate. We find the usability of Think Broadband better. Mainly because it is easier to start a speed test.
