1. Google Fiber
Google Fiber's speed test is designed for testing speeds in the 1 - 2 Gb range, however it works also fine when you have a lower download speed. With 16 seconds to complete, Google Fiber is one of the fastest speed tests there is.
Although the Tingtun Page Checker found some barriers Google Fiber has an excellent usability. It is mobile friendly and there are no ads or cookies. Google Fiber was the number 1 speed test in the ultimate speed test test 2020 and has the highest overall score in 2022. Hence Google Fiber is a highly recommended speed test.
2. Measurement Lab (M-Lab)
Measurement Lab (or M-Lab) is a great speed test. It is comparable with Google Fiber although it is with 21 seconds a litte bit slower to complete.
Measurement Lab was number 2 in the ultimate speed test test of 2022 and number 5 in the first test of 2020. When you Google speedtest you get the suggestion to perform a M-Lab based speed test.
3. Internet Speed at a Glance
Internet Speed at a Glance is by far the fastest speed test there is. On the one hand, this speed comes at the expense of the accuracy of the results. The measured download speed is only indicated with a lower and upper limit. Internet Speed at a Glance is therefore extremely suitable for quickly finding out whether there are problems with your internet connection.
On the other hand this, this speed makes Internet Speed at a Glance the most climate-friendly speed test there is.
