While WiFiman isn't the best speed test tool out there, it is very nicely designed and worth a try for that reason alone. The speed test is not a recommended speed test, mainly because this speed test is relative slow and consumes a lot of data.

 

With an adverstised speed of 100 Mbps and an average measured internet speed of 102.5 Mbps, we conclude that the WiFiman speed test is an accurate speed test (Accuracy score: 95/100).

Pros

This WiFiman speed test has the following pros:

  1. Like Fast and Internet Speed at a Glance the speed test starts directly
  2. The interface is nicely designed, we especially like the progress indicator (inspired by Broken Links at a Glance?)
  3. The history can be retrieved without much effort
  4. The latency is shown in a running graph

Cons

This WiFiman speed test has the following cons:

  1. It wasn't immediately clear to us how to start a retest (clicking on the WiFiman logo at the top left starts a retest)
  2. Clicking the WiFiman logo multiple times also causes the speed test to be started multiple times (maybe logical, but we didn't expect that)
  3. It is slow
  4. It consumes a lot of data

When to use WiFiman

If you want to know your latency then give WiFiman a try.

While WiFiman isn't the best speed test tool out there, it is very nicely designed and worth a try for that reason alone.
